How We Can Help

Our innovative, bespoke structure allows for private practices remain independent, agile, and restores their ability to recruit radiologist into their practice.

The radiology labor shortage has, unfortunately, become undeniable. While reimbursement continues to drop, radiologist salaries and applicant expectations have far out stripped private practices’ ability to recruit.

Private practices across the country have been forced to negotiate high stipends for continued solvency. Despite this, many radiology groups have folded given the inability to recruit. Coupled with exploding volumes and a newer generation of radiologists who value daytime work with minimal evenings, nights, and weekends, the typical private practice model has become more and more untenable. In short, many private practice radiology groups are already in death spiral—whether they realize it or not.

When radiology groups collapse, the usual suspects of private equity backed entities spring in to action. These entities resort to extreme cost-cutting measures which threaten the service, worsen patient care, and eventually cause in-house radiologists to depart. In extreme cases, groups like Radiology Partners have even been found to commit insurance fraud. The scale of these companies allows them to demand massive subsidies to pay their unsustainable debt burdens. They inevitably return to the hospital, demanding more support and using their size to play hospital systems off of one another. This further escalates cost while degrading patient care.

Syndicated Radiology Proposes a New Solution

Our group buttresses existing private practices by covering their least desirable shifts. This allows radiologists on the ground to do what they do best: run their radiology department.  Our innovative, bespoke structure allows for private practices remain independent, agile, and restores their ability to recruit radiologist into their practice.

Syndicated Radiology aims to support in-house groups with evenings and weekend coverage with our team of dedicated, fast, and heavily vetted radiologists. Unlike a typical teleradiology group, Syndicated Radiology provides a small team of radiologist that use your own PACS, RIS, and dictation software. This allows our team to cut through the logistical IT issues that typically slow down turnaround times. In addition, if requested by the in-house radiologists, this allows us to help fill in any gaps during other hours. Rather than spending considerable effort finding expensive and typically low-quality locums services, our team provides dedicated, invested radiologists looking for long term stability.  Our approach also allows for a much shorter and efficient on-boarding, requiring only a few radiologists to be credentialed at the hospital and with payors.
